Impact of KVK
- Developed 0.85 ha area for the agro-forestry model at farmers field katio, Block Markachoo.
- Five villages declared as pulse seed village by Cluster Frontline Demonstration (CFLD).
- One Mushroom production unit established by rural youth for increasing income.
- Thirteen seed villages were established for Paddy seed production in a participatory mode with farmers.
- Increased area under summer vegetable cultivation in Rice fallow land area (5 ha).
- 5 ha land brought under protected cultivation (mulching) of summer vegetables.
- Established 25 ha drip irrigation on farmers field through convergence with state line department.
- Promoted organic farming with the establishment of vermi bed (200 units) in 5 villages of Markachoo block and 2 villages of Jainagar block for vermi compost production.
- Promoted Lac cultivation by 100 farmers on Palash, and Ber, plants for increasing income.
- By organizing animal health camps, eight villages were brought under 100% vaccination of FMD and HSBQ.
- Identified (22) rural youth for fish farming and provide the training with the convergence of Fisheries Dept. Koderma.
Disseminations and adoption of technologies at large scale
- Large scale demonstration of kharif onion cv. AFDR, Arka Niketan led to (adoption by 1360 farmers covering 18 ha in the district).
- Large scale demonstration of drought tolerant Rice cv. Sahbhagidhan and Abhisekh led to (adoption by 1450 and 1190 farmers covering 910 and 150 haland respectively in the district).
- Large scale demonstration of Mushroom production – Oyster led to adoption by 255 farmers, who established their own mushroom production units.
- Large scale demonstration of value addition of seasonal fruits & vegetables cultivation, led to adoption of activity by by 255 farm women.
- Large scale demonstration of Backyard poultry - divyayan red led to adoption by 155 farmers, who established 149 units of backyard poultry.
- Large scale demonstration of capsicum cv. Indra cultivation (led to adoption by 90 farmers, covering 08 ha.)
- Large scale demonstration and adoption of poly mulching in vegetable cultivation (Adopted by 50 farmers, covered 09 ha.)
- Large scale demonstration and adoption of poly tunnel technology for vegetable nursery raising and vegetable cultivation (Adopted by 65 farmers.)
